USAAC is responsible for:

  • Producing an annual report with findings and recommendations for the Provost
  • Reviewing issues, concerns, and data related to the student-athlete experience
  • Advising on academic support, admissions, performance, and student services
  • Monitoring institutional, conference, and NCAA governance developments
  • Supporting outreach and faculty engagement around student-athlete issues
  • Examining health, well-being, and personal and professional development of student-athletes

Faculty Athletics Representative (FAR)

The FAR serves as a key liaison between the faculty, athletics, and university leadership, providing oversight related to academic integrity, governance, and student-athlete welfare. The FAR participates in USAAC deliberations and contributes to reporting and recommendations.

USAAC welcomes questions, concerns, and issues relevant to its advisory role. While USAAC does not adjudicate individual cases, it can help route concerns to appropriate offices and identify systemic issues for review.
