About USAAC

Purpose & Scope

The University Student-Athlete Advisory Council (USAAC) is an advisory body charged by the Provost to advise relevant stakeholders on policies and practices that impact the USC Trojan student-athlete experience. The Council provides a structured forum for discussion, review, and accountability across academic, athletic, and administrative units.

Governance Placement

USAAC serves in an advisory capacity to the Provost and university leadership. Its work is informed by representatives from the President’s Office, Provost’s Office, Academic Senate, Athletics, faculty, and the student body. Recommendations are communicated through formal reporting and, when appropriate, through timely advisory input.
